Police: Yonkers man charged for Old Westbury gas station robbery from nearly a year ago

A Yonkers man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an Old Westbury gas station nearly a year ago.
Police say Erich Cruz got into a car that was unlocked and running at the Bolla Gas Station on Jericho Turnpike. The car's owner attempted to stop him by grabbing onto the open passenger window.
Officials say Cruz sped away and the victim injured his head, arms and face.
Cruz is now charged with assault and robbery.
