A pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic aimed at getting the Latino community inoculated has opened in Yonkers.
Fifty vaccines were administered at Inglesia San Andres Friday.
Hispanic residents have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
"It is really important for this community to hear from their trusted leaders that the vaccine is indeed safe and effective. Just come right here where you are already coming and comfortable, and you can get it right here," said Jennifer Lynch, of Vax Up Westchester.
Vax Up Westchester is targeting local churches and food pantries to get more people vaccinated.
