Popular Monroe brewery and supply store closing after 32 years in business

A popular Monroe brewery and brewing supply store is closing after 32 years in business.
The owners say their lease was ending and they couldn't find the right space, leading them to the decision to retire.
Mark and Tess Szamatulski sold brewing and winemaking supplies, and even published two books cloning recipes for popular brands, at Veracious Brewing and Maltose Express.
Southern Connecticut homebrewers will now have to travel up to Hartford or down to New York, to find a brick-and-mortar supply store. They can also shop online.
The Szamatulskis started brewing commercial-scale beer for themselves in 2015 with Veracious Brewing Company.
Veracious Brewing is hosting its last car, truck and Jeep show this Saturday at 1 p.m. Organizers say 200 show cars will be on hand, along with plenty of food and beer.
