A Port Chester woman died after a car accident early Tuesday morning.

Police say Amy Josabeth Munguia was driving on Boston Post Road when she crashed into a utility pole. The crash threw her out of the vehicle.

Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. and shut down the road for several hours.

Munguia was 21 years old. The investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
