Contractors hired by the State Transportation Department have begun "spot paving" in Somers to address the pothole problem.
This effort was carried out along Route 35 near Lasdon Park Thursday.
Assemblyman Matt Slater noted that the favorable weather conditions allowed for the completion of this major repaving job.
Similar work is scheduled for Route 118 next week, as efforts continue to improve road conditions and address the pothole issue across the Hudson Valley.
