Poughkeepsie deli closed after high-dose THC candy leaves customer hospitalized

A Poughkeepsie deli accused selling candy with illegally high doses of THC has been closed by the State Cannabis Office.

State police say Easy Deli on Fallkill Avenue sold a customer a chocolate bar that had 1,000 milligrams of THC.

The legal limit of THC is 10 milligrams per serving, according to authorities.

The customer suffered an adverse reaction and was taken to a hospital.

The deli has since been padlocked by the Office of Cannabis Management.
