The Town of Poughkeepsie Highway Department removed several storm drain covers so officers could scoop the ducklings up to safety.

Poughkeepsie PD rescues baby ducklings caught in storm drain
The Town of Poughkeepsie police rescued some ducklings that were caught in a storm drain Monday. 
Police and an animal control officer tried to get access to the ducks at 52 Kingwood Park, but could not reach them due to the storm grate. 
The Town of Poughkeepsie Highway Department removed several storm drain covers so officers could scoop the ducklings up to safety. 
Animal control waited for the mother duck to come out and collect her ducklings, and all of the ducklings followed her home.
