Another week has passed with more violence in Ukraine as Russian forces have expanded their attacks on civilian targets, killing innocent women and children.

In the Hudson Valley, the pleas for help are not going unanswered as numerous people or groups with links to Ukraine raise money and awareness about the suffering there.

Richard Olver is a partner at Anderson Olver Law Firm in Croton-on-Hudson, where he specializes in immigration and nationality law. He is also a senior consultant for the United Nations.
