A major winter blast has arrived in the Hudson Valley.A winter storm warning is in effect for Orange, Putnam and Rockland counties until 6 p.m. Friday.News 12 Hudson Valley meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says the storm is expected to bring between 3-6 inches of snow to parts of the region by late Thursday morning. There will be additional snowfall Thursday into Friday, which will likely mean a total of 6-12 inches of Putnam and Eastern Rockland counties. Western Rockland and Orange counties are expected to see 10-18 inches of snow.Red Cross officials say they are tracking the storm and making plans with county crews at their emergency operation center.
