A shooting inside a Carteret neighborhood left at least one person dead and another injured.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office says the shooting happened just after 1 p.m. Wednesday on Lincoln Avenue.
Witnesses tell News 12 New Jersey that they heard at least 13 gunshots.
A video obtained by News 12 shows a man walking up to a black Mercedes that was parked along the street. He then fires a gun into the driver's side window, striking the two people who were sitting inside.
Police say the two victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment, where one victim died. That victim was identified at 27-year-old Malik Pandy.
Police have not released a description of the shooter. That person remains on the loose.
