PUMP PATROL: Gas prices jump 5 cents overnight on Long Island

Gas prices continue to break records and soar across the United States and on Long Island.
This morning, prices for a gallon of gas are up another 5 cents at the pump since Monday.
According to AAA, the national average price for a gallon of gas sits at $4.37.
In New York, the average for a gallon of gas is $4.57.
On Long Island, the price is up to $4.60 a gallon – which is up 5 cents overnight.
