The Putnam Valley Tigers cheerleaders are basking in the glow of a significant victory as they celebrate their first-ever state championship win in Binghamton last year.

To commemorate this milestone, the team was honored with an invitation to celebrate in Albany by Assembly Member Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) and Sen. Rob Rolison (R-39).

Slater expressed pride in Section I high schools for producing some of the best athletes in the state.

Rolison emphasized that the Tigers' triumph brings immense pride to the community and serves as inspiration for others to emulate the success of these scholar-athletes.
