Rain will be falling down in batches overnight and into much of the day on Wednesday. This is much needed rain coming down, as much of the Hudson Valley is experiencing some level of drought. As the rain comes in gradually over the course of overnight into Thursday, the ground will have time to absorb a fair amount of it.

Along with the rain Wednesday, there will also be breezy winds at times. A breeze of 10-20 mph, combined with the showers and clouds, will keep the temperatures feeling cooler than average. The average high is 69 degrees for this time of the year and most locations will trend in the upper 50s to low 60s. This will be the only cool day into the weekend.

Temperatures will move back into the upper 60s to the 70s, going into Thursday and then have a chance of hitting the low 80s Friday and Saturday.

A warm front will pass by Friday, helping to not only boost the temperatures, but also to increase the humidity levels. It will start to feel a little "summery" for the end of the workweek and into the weekend. The warmth and humidity could aid in some thunderstorms forming Friday afternoon.

The shower chances will be around for Saturday, but after a cold front passes by Saturday night, the rain potential will drop for Sunday.

Sunday is trending mild and comfy, with pleasant skies. There will also be some dry and breezy winds at times.
