The torrential rains that dumped more than 4 inches of rain across the Hudson Valley left behind significant flooding in Rockland County.

On Route 59 by the Palisades Center Mall, residents said it seemed as if someone was bound to row by in a canoe as a stretch of the roadway was completely flooded by the overnight rainstorm.
"I'm living here over four years, this is only the second time this has ever happened," said Pam Denise, who saw major flooding in Stony Point. "It's an inconvenience, but the rain was so hard yesterday."
