The Rangers opened training camp on Thursday with the hope to build off their Conference Final run from a year ago.

Last season, many thought the Rangers had an outside chance of the postseason, but they made it to within two games of the Stanley Cup Final.

"We had a good run last year but that definitely makes me and the rest of the group want to get back to working and to playing," said forward Mika Zibanejad.

The Rangers' first preseason game is Monday against the Island
