The Tuxedo Police Department is taking action against an increase of crime in the town.

The department announced on its Facebook page that it's currently investigating a recent burglary that was not an isolated event in the region.

Several outside police departments are partnering with them as a result.

While specifics of the burglary remain undisclosed due to the active investigation, the department has outlined new strategies to combat crime, involving heightened town patrols and the formulation of anti-crime tactics.
