Rep. Mike Lawler joined fellow Reps. Pat Ryan and Marc Molinaro in support of the Hudson River Protection Act on Tuesday.

The bill would prevent the construction of additional anchorages north of the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge.

The proposed bill on comes as a recent Coast Guard report redefined the Port of New York, which classified the area north of the Cuomo Bridge as subject to the Coast Guards "inland navigation rules."
