Some districts held voting for budgets on Tuesday night.  Here are the results.

Budget passes with a vote of 52 yes and 3 votes no. 

A 20-year lease of a building for the preschool called Kiryas Joel Early Childhood Education Center passed - 55 yes and 0 no. 

Simon Kepecs was reelected to school board - 55 votes yes and 0 no.

The 2021-22 Suffern Central School budget was approved with 2,243 'yes' votes, or 73.13% of the vote. The budget totals $144,842,711 and reflects a .56% budget-to-budget increase and a .98% tax levy increase.

And, 81.3% of voters, or 2,435 'yes' votes were cast in favor of Proposition 2, which allows the district to use Capital Reserve Funds from May 2017 to repair and replace roofs at Cherry Lane Elementary School and Suffern Middle School and replace steam boilers at RP Connor Elementary School with high-efficiency hot water condensing boilers .

Jennifer Hodge, Darrell Fraiser and Marlo Dickman have been elected to the Board of Education.  These seats carry a three-year term which will begin on July 1, 2021, and concludes June 30, 2024.

Voters in the East Ramapo Central School District approved the budget proposal for the 2021-22 academic year with 1,084 ‘yes’ votes and 647 ‘no’ votes.

This budget approval will provide:  

*   A 0% increase in tax levy with no reductions in programs or services  

*   Seven much-needed social workers to support students' social-emotional needs  

*   Consistent levels of music, the arts, athletics and extra-curricular programming  

*   Enhanced English Language Learners (ELL) and Students With Disabilities (SWD) programming  

*   Expanded school year opportunities for students K-12 with a focus on literacy and numeracy development
