A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday for the new turf field at Woodlands Legacy Fields in Yorktown Heights.
Town officials and community members came together for the unveiling on Strang Boulevard.
The improvements to the park were partly funded by more than $1 million paid by the owners of the Algonquin Enbridge gas line back in 2023.
That money was to compensate the town after the park had to close for three months due to a sinkhole on Christmas Eve in 2022.
Woodlands Legacy Fields also includes baseball fields and trails.
