And fun. Now, let's get a check of your forecast with meteorologist Michelle Powers, maybe some festive flakes as well. Exactly. Some people may refer to this weather as festive and fun as well. I know not so much. It's going to be a little tough getting up and out the door, especially if you don't like the cold. It's going to be cold tomorrow, even colder on Thursday, the afternoon. Temperatures too running below average, but there are milder days just a few days away and they come back over the weekend. But at the same time, we're going to be tracking some rain Sunday could end up being very soggy. There could be some thunderstorms and even some gusty winds. This looks like a really sharp cold front coming through. So that could be powerful and pack a lot of moisture. In the meantime, our atmosphere is lacking of that moisture and it feels very bitter again, temperatures on their way to freezing or below and then look at the next several days, still cold Thursday. But Friday is sort of that transition because beyond Friday, temperatures return to the fifties. So during that time, the system coming our way is going to bring rain. It's going to be way too warm for any type of snow or anything frozen Sunday into Monday. This could be a lot of rain coming at us and there could be some gusty winds as well. So right now the theme is cold and that is here to stay. So it may look a bit festive tomorrow even into Thursday with a couple of broken showers or flurries don't count on too much though. That storm offshore is a little too far away and it jets out of here, but it brings the cold. Eventually, the milder air will take over for the end of the week and out ahead of that front on Friday and Saturday, temperatures are really going to warm up. So there's rain on the way for that. In the meantime, though temperatures tomorrow, here we go, running below average. So even though it's the afternoon when you think this is where we hit, our high temperatures temps are stopping in the forties, 41 in Stanford, 41 in Milford and Cornwall, one of the colder spots only 36 degrees. So again, with the weather headlines that just want to emphasize again, the morning wind chills are going to be tough to get through, but stick around that 10 day forecast is coming up next and we'll talk about those warmer days ahead and what exactly will open our will come our way on Sunday, Tina back to you. Newly renovated Bruce Museum brings art, science and natural history all together

The Bruce Museum in Greenwich brings art science and natural history all together. Now, a $67 million building project has more than doubled its size. This week's road trip, close to home news, 12 photo journalist, Laurie Goli takes us to the New Bruce that we have a much larger space with different galleries with different periods of art and a sculpture gallery. We are at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut. We just reopened on April 2nd with our new expansion, we now have three classrooms for education programs. My favorite part has to be being able to go into all the galleries and just looking at the expanded collection in pieces. It's so bright and welcoming. And we also have the new Robert R Weiner Mineral Gallery which is a permanent installation and is just spectacular. The mineral collection is out of this world. Currently, we have a penguin exhibit. Visitors will see all types of penguins. So we're all familiar with the Antarctic species like the emperor penguin, but you might not know about the little blue penguin who is only about £2 and stands about one ft tall. So we have two of those and a baby. Um, you'll see the yellow eyed penguin, which as advertised has bright yellow eyes. We have penguins that live in deserts. We have penguins that live on rocky Sub Antarctic islands. We have penguins that even breed in coastal forests. The space is wonderful. It lets us tell the full story of some of these amazing creatures that's worth it right there for the kids. There's also a permanent installation. This is called Natural Cycles Shape our lands and it has geology, paleontology. Some Long Island sound a little bit about the ice age and then the big backyard, which is one of my favorite parts. It features diorama of insects and other invertebrates at 20 times life scale. So you'll see, you know, a bumble bee, the size of a small dog, for example. Um That's a lot of fun, beautifully executed. So you really get to see details that you would never be able to witness if you're just looking at the animal, you know, crawling around on a leaf. Uh It's really something to see if this size. You can see some live flounders and crabs in, in our um marine gallery. The Bruce museum is a real asset to the community and people come here just to get away from the outside world. What makes The Bruce special to me is that we're a museum of art and science and there's not many museums that do both. I think, you know, we're even better than before. It's got something for everyone. Now that we have a cafe and a huge auditorium, even more people can come enjoy the Bruce Museum. It's a real destination that's beautiful and really inviting for everyone. Well, they did a beautiful job, didn't they? Yes. Yes. That first when you walk in and you see all the rainbow colors, blue and those paintings gorgeous. And there's so much to see as they said. So Tuesday is free day at the Bruce and reservations are suggested the Bruce stores also open during museum hours. So if you like more information, head over to news 12 dot com.
