Rockland Community College has been granted $933,000 from the Office of Strategic Workforce Development to combat manufacturing workforce shortages in the state.
This pay-for-performance grant is part of the fourth round of grants dedicated to 15 projects that aim to train over 2,000 workers statewide.
At RCC, the grant will aid in creating and implementing a new industrial machinery pathway, providing skills-based training to students to address shortages in the Hudson Valley's advanced manufacturing industry.
