The Rockland County Legislature has unanimously approved a $876 million budget for 2025.

The budget includes a 2% property tax cut, with no layoffs or service cuts.

Increased funding has been allocated for nonprofits and a new countywide sidewalk initiative.

County Executive Ed Day has five working days to issue any vetoes, and the legislature has until Dec. 20 to override any vetoes with 12 votes.
