Rockland County migrant from Ecuador admits to killing woman in Syracuse

Chacaguasay-Ilbis was caught on video with the victim at an Airbnb in Syracuse.

Jhon Chacaguasay-Ilbis, a 22-year-old migrant from Ecuador living in Rockland County, has pleaded guilty to the murder of Joselyn Toaquiza in Syracuse last June.
Chacaguasay-Ilbis was caught on video with the victim at an Airbnb in Syracuse.
Following the crime, Toaquiza's body was discovered in a local park.
Chacaguasay-Ilbis faces up to 22 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
