Rockland County offers free weekend bus service to Haverstraw-Ossining ferry

Customers using the Transport of Rockland connecting service will be able to transfer options at transit hubs in the Village of Haverstraw, downtown Nyack and at the Palisades Center to access additional destinations.

Rockland County is offering a free bus service to the Haverstraw-Ossining ferry between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on weekends.
Customers using the Transport of Rockland connecting service will be able to transfer options at transit hubs in the Village of Haverstraw, downtown Nyack and at the Palisades Center to access additional destinations.
Ferries are timed to connect at Ossining with Metro-North trains to and from Grand Central. Free parking is available at the Haverstraw dock.
One way ferry fare for an adult is $4.50. It is $2.50 for seniors and people with disabilities.
Rockland County officials told News 12 that they are excited about the opportunity for tourism in the region.
The weekend ferry pilot program runs until November 10.
