A Rockland County park ranger is facing charges for an alleged drunk driving crash.
According to the county sheriff, Ranger Christopher Granata was on duty July 5 at the Haverstraw Bay County Park during an Independence Day fireworks celebration when he struck a parked car.
Granata, of New Windsor, was behind the wheel of the utility task force vehicle with his two daughters in the car when he apparently lost control.
All three of them were injured when they were ejected from the vehicle.
Granata was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court Aug. 19.
