More than a dozen men and women in blue officially began their careers in law enforcement this morning.
Family, friends and the new recruits gathered at the fire training center in Pomona for the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy graduation.
The 18 new graduates spent 20 weeks of rigorous training at the police academy.
Now, the recruits will now have to go through a 12-week field training program before joining their respective police departments.
