Rockland Pride Sunday, an event put on by the Phyllis B. Frank Pride Center, celebrated its 25th anniversary in Downtown Nyack.
Organizers from the center, like Alessandra Francisco, said the event has been bringing people together for decades.
"This was the very first Pride event in the Hudson Valley in 1999," Francisco said. "We're celebrating 25 years…it just made sense for us to kind of expand it much bigger than it has been in prior years."
Hundreds of people attended the event. News 12 saw people visiting booths and entering raffles.
"We are so excited to be visible and be a representation of the community, and to be able to let people know that love is love and that we're not going anywhere," said Calliope Recinos, a supporter.
