The founder of a Rockland-based roofing company pleaded guilty to failing to protect an employee who died.

Jose Lema admitted to violating "occupational safety and health regulations" that led to the employee's death.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said an employee fell off the roof of a three-story multi-family apartment in New Square and died.

Lema faces up to six months in prison and a $250,000 fine. His sentencing is scheduled for May.
