Route 17 south reopens in Hasbrouck Heights following deadly 4-car crash

The crash took place in the southbound lanes at around 6:20 p.m., near the Franklin Avenue intersection, in front of a McDonald's, across from the Costco.

Route 17 south reopened overnight following a fatal four-car crash in Hasbrouck Heights.
Bergen County prosecutor's office said one of drivers suffered fatal injuries, they died at the scene.
The crash took place in the southbound lanes at around 6:20 p.m., near the Franklin Avenue intersection, in front of a McDonald's, across from the Costco.
Several other people involved were transported to area hospitals, with varying injuries.
Images from the scene show multiple cars damaged alongside the median, and a damaged truck.
There was a large emergency response with more than a dozen police and fire crews.
