Rules on vaccine locations for people with underlying conditions cause confusion

Some people who have underlying health conditions and are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine say they made an appointment, only to find out that it was canceled.
News 12 spoke with a state official to get clarity on the confusion and was told that people who are under the age of 65 with an underlying condition are making appointments at places that they are not supposed to.
Even though they are eligible, people with underlying conditions need to get vaccinated at certain locations.
Residents who are going to pharmacies to get vaccinated should know that only people over 65 can get vaccinated there.
Officials say people with underlying conditions must go to a county or state-run site - and should also check for restrictions there.
