Rye Playland Beach and Pool will open for the season Memorial Day weekend for the first time since 2019.
"We're doing kayak rentals on the water where you can bring your kayaks out onto the Sound," says Rye Playland's Stacy Schuster.
The amusement park will also feature a new 35-foot water slide.
"For $10, you can buy an all-day slide pass and go down it 6,000 times if you're so inclined," Schuster says.
It will cost visitors $9 to spend a day at the beach and $14 for a pass to the beach and pool.
A steel drum band will play away the day on weekends.
The park also features the new Tiki Beach restaurant.
"A little more casual environment. Cornhole, some darts, ring toss, people just hanging out with a vibe of a beach," says Tiki Beach manager Vincent Corso, about the new beer garden. "Lobster roll, we also have a grilled chicken sandwich, we have burgers, we're doing 1 1/2 lb. lobsters, we have a wonderful raw bar," Corso says.
