A woman from Rye is dead after a multiple-vehicle accident in Connecticut.

State police say 89-year-old Jill Haskel was killed in a three-car collision Monday on I-95 in Greenwich.

Troopers report Haskel’s vehicle started the chain-reaction crash southbound near Exit 3.

Haskel was taken to a Greenwich hospital, where she later died. The two other drivers, including a man from Purdys, were uninjured.

Connecticut State Police say the accident remains under investigation.
