A school bus driver was issued a ticket for moving from a lane unsafely following a crash early Wednesday morning in Dutchess County.
Officials say the First Student bus was traveling eastbound on Route 199 when it veered into the opposite lane and struck the side of a westbound garbage truck around 8:05 a.m.
The bus driver was taking special needs children to a location in Kingston at the time.
Five individuals were inside, including the driver, a monitor and three children.
No one appeared to be hurt, but the children were hospitalized as a precaution.
