The Town of Ramapo Police have made a second arrest in connection with a 2023 email scam.
The investigation into the phony software virus protection scheme began in May 2023 after a resident reported receiving a message claiming they needed to pay back an alleged overpayment for computer security services.
The initial probe led to the arrest of a Long Island man for criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny.
This week, Town Police arrested a Queens man, who is facing the same charges as the first suspect.
