Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is urging the FBI to move its Hudson Valley office to Newburgh to combat the city's gang violence.
Schumer said Newburgh saw a spike in gang violence and violent crime two years ago, and nearly 100 gang members have been rounded up in raids over the past year.
The state's senior senator says having the government agency in Newburgh would deter gang activity and be a resource to the community.
