Rockland County is getting pummeled by seven straight days of rain.
Ball fields in Suffern have turned into large lakes by the constant rainfall. Many residents throughout the county say their basements have flooded, ruining furniture and other possessions. One resident says even after hours of vacuuming out the water, it continues to seep back in.
Residents in Nanuet say seasonal rain storms have always been a threat. They say the problem stems from wetland behind homes. Neighbors say when the swamp floods, it gets into pipes, yards and basements.
