11ds agoA fatal wrong-way crash is causing road closures in Garrison, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Police say a driver in the southbound lane was killed after crossing into the northbound lane and crashing into a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials. The condition of the driver of the tractor-trailer is unknown.
Police say Route 9 is closed between Route 403 and Heritage Drive, which is in the area of Old Highland Turnpike.
Officials say the road will remain closed for an extended period of time.
