Merchants and customers on the Grand Concourse say bike lanes recently added to the busy streets are causing parking problems and congestion.

Some business owners say the bike lanes have taken over parking spaces and 'green' government vehicles double park in the open spaces illegally. Owners also claim their customers can't find parking and often receive tickets for double parking in the area.

Officials say the government vehicles are used by Army recruitment personnel who work at the nearby recruitment center on Fordham Avenue.
