WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Yesterday's storm left a mess for us to clean up across the region as several locations saw measurable and plowable snowfall. That was certainly the case across Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties. The other counties in the region had snow mixed with rain to all rain, especially Westchester County.
- In the wake of the storm, drier and breezy conditions moved in, allowing some refreezing on some surfaces. Black ice and icy patches will be a concern through the morning hours with temps below the freezing point of 32 degrees
- Going through the day today will involve some sunglasses and a coat as temps will rise towards 40 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Coming up for Thursday, we will watch a cold front approaching the area in the afternoon hours. It may kick up some snow showers or flurries, but it will absolutely kick up gusty winds with frigid temps to follow.
- Temperatures will start to get frosty overnight Thursday into Friday with morning lows potentially feeling into the single digits. Temperatures will struggle to warm up through Friday sadly.
- Saturday has the potential of seeing some mixed showers as a coastal storm trying to move up the Eastern Seaboard. For now, the chances are running a little lower than recent days. Sunday is certainly the drier of the two weekend days.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to mostly cloudy. It will feel frigid with gusty afternoon winds. Highs: upper 20s to low 30s. Lows: low 20s.
SATURDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Mostly cloudy with a rain and snow shower chance. Highs: mid-to-upper 30s. Lows: mid-20s.
SUNDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs: upper 30s. Lows: upper 10s to low 20s.
MONDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy at times. Highs: upper 20s to low 30s. Lows: upper 10s.
