Municipalities in the Hudson Valley region are taking proactive measures ahead of an impending snowstorm.
In the City of Newburgh, a snow emergency has been declared, effective at 6 p.m. Snow emergency parking regulations will be in effect until the snow emergency is lifted. Residents are reminded that parking is not permitted on designated emergency routes, including Dupont Avenue, Lake Street, Leroy Place, and Little Britain Road. Violators who park illegally during the snow emergency will face towing.
Officials in Croton-on-Hudson have announced adjustments to the garbage pickup schedule due to the storm. Garbage pickup will be conducted village-wide today, with no scheduled pickup for tomorrow. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements and refrain from putting out garbage for pickup tomorrow.
