Get ready to put to break out sunglasses and get outside this afternoon, Hudson Valley! The morning dreary sights, patchy fog, drizzle and a cold feeling in the air will be replaced by sunny breaks and mild temps, along with a pleasant breeze. Temps will start warming up into the mid-60s later today. Some areas may hit 70 degrees west of the Hudson River. This will be great weather for all heading down to The Bronx for the Yankees home opener this afternoon.

Saturday will start off nicely but may not be the same for all by the afternoon to evening hours. Fair skies, sunshine, and mild temperatures will be around for the morning hours. For the afternoon, a chance of rain will be trying to pop-up. Most locations will be dry, but it is a good idea to keep the umbrella within sight. The rain chances will increase heading into the evening hours.

Easter Sunday won't look too nice, unfortunately. A cold front will slowly be approaching the area, helping to increase the shower potential starting in the late morning hours. Rounds of rain will come through for the afternoon hours along with breezy winds at times. This will absolutely impact any egg hunts outside, so they will have to be relocated inside. Temperatures ahead of the front will be mild but will trend colder for Monday.

Another chance for rain pops up Tuesday before a nice stretch of weather opens up starting Wednesday. And it may last all the way into the upcoming weekend, next weekend.
