Sources: Father and son charged in deadly Spring Valley fire expected to plead guilty

Sources tell News 12 the plea deal between Nathaniel and Aaron Sommer and the Rockland County District Attorney may keep them out of jail.

The father and son rabbis charged with starting the deadly fire at the Evergreen Court Home for Adults in Spring Valley will return to court Tuesday and a plea deal could be finalized.
Sources tell News 12 the plea deal between Nathaniel and Aaron Sommer and the Rockland County District Attorney may keep them out of jail.
The men were charged with manslaughter in the death of volunteer firefighter Jared Lloyd and a 79-year-old resident.
Local firefighters are expected to protest the plea deal Tuesday morning outside of Rockland County Court.
The judge is set to rule on the deal at 9:30 a.m.
