South Orangetown names veteran educator as new school superintendent

Brian Culot was appointed by the Board of Education, effective July 1.

A veteran of the South Orangetown Central School District has been named the new superintendent. Brian Culot was appointed by the Board of Education, effective July 1. Culot, a veteran educator for 27 years, first joined the district as Cottage Lane Elementary School Principal in 2009. He's currently assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction. He succeeds Robert Pritchard, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
