In Yorktown, voters will be heading to the polls in about three months for a special election for a new town supervisor.
The town board unanimously approved a resolution to hold the special election on April 16.
This decision comes after the sudden passing of former Town Supervisor Tom Diana last month.
Diana's death occurred just four days after he was sworn in as town supervisor. In the interim, Deputy Supervisor Ed Lachterman is serving as the acting supervisor.
