A new bill being considered by state lawmakers could alter how sports betting companies attract new customers in New York.
State Sen. Pete Harckham's newest legislation would require state oversight of how gambling companies use specific promotions to get new customers onboard.

Sen. Harckham says he still supports legal mobile sports betting, but argues "folks who don't have full transparency and don't understand what they're getting into will very soon find themselves in financial hardship."
