Spotify, Epic Games challenge Apple app fees with nonprofit

Spotify, Match Group, and Epic Games (the company behind Fortnite) are among the companies joining forces to challenge Apple's app store fees by creating the "Coalition for App Fairness." Apple charges a commission for apps that use its in-app payment system with a list of rules that apps must comply with to appear in the store. The coalition is advocating for legal changes that would force the app marketplace to change.
The latest labor market data shows 870,000 Americans filed for first-time unemployment benefits last week, which is higher than the 840,000 that was expected. Continuing claims declined by 167,000 to 12.6 million.
