Spring trout fishing season opens in the Hudson Valley!

From now until early June, the Department of Environmental Conservation hatchery staff will be busy stocking over 1.9 million catchable size brook, brown, and rainbow trout in streams and ponds across the state.

Today marks the first day of spring trout fishing season in the Hudson Valley.
From now until early June, the Department of Environmental Conservation hatchery staff will be busy stocking over 1.9 million catchable size brook, brown, and rainbow trout in streams and ponds across the state.
The department recommends downloading the "Hunt Fish NY" mobile app to access stocking information, regulations on managed trout streams, and driving directions to angler parking areas.
