13h agoA Bridgewater man has been arrested for allegedly sending explicit Snapchats to a 13-year-old girl in Missouri.
State police say on Dec. 7, detectives the Jackson Police Department in Missouri requested the assistance of the Western District Major Crime in their investigation of Carter Denlinger.
An investigation by Jackson police found the preteen was using the app to communicate with Denlinger, 25.
It's not clear how the two first met or how long they communicated with each other.
Both departments worked together and an arrest warrant was issued out of Missouri for Denlinger.
On March 15, police located Denlinger at a home in Bridgewater. When police asked if he had a Snapchat account, Denlinger requested a lawyer. Neither Denlinger or his lawyer reached back to police to be questioned.
In April, an arrest warrant for Denlinger was granted. On April 12, he was taken into custody without incident.
Denlinger was charged with fugitive arrest with warrant and is being held on a $1 million dollar bond.
He is expected to appear in Torrington Superior Court Monday.
