State police: Jet Ski collision kills 48-year-old New Jersey man

State police say Charles Sanchez, 48, was riding with Jorge Arribasplata, 48, when they collided with David Torres, 49, and a passenger.

A New Jersey man was killed in a Jet Ski crash over the weekend.
It happened Saturday afternoon on the Hudson River in the City of Newburgh.
State police say Charles Sanchez, 48, was riding with Jorge Arribasplata, 48, when they collided with David Torres, 49, and a passenger.
Torres and his passenger were thrown into the river. They were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh.
Sanchez was pronounced dead at the hospital following the crash.
Torres is listed in critical condition.
Police say neither the operators nor their passengers had consumed alcohol.
