Officials are asking Gov. Kathy Hochul to include an additional $2 billion in her state budget for road repairs.
Many drivers say the highways and byways have serious issues with potholes and cracks.
"Pretty bad, especially for bikes. In Ossining, I just saw two potholes that would've killed me,” said one resident.
“They need to be fixed. Should've been done a long time ago,” said another resident.
State Sen. Pete Harckham, state Sen. Shelley Mayer and local representatives have taken the request to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office. Harckham tells News 12 he hopes to hear back from Hochul by Friday.
